Brevard County deputies arrived with a narcotics arrest warrant for Lassiter. Upon making entrance to his home, police allege that he fired a gun and was shot to death by invading officers. Another person was injured by bullets in the residence. It is not clear who had fired the bullets. No officers were charged.
