OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Responding to a 911 hangup call at 3:00 p.m., patrol officers with the Gary PD arrived at the Chase St. address. A female was observed running from the residence to the officers. She stated that this was a domestic incident with an armed adult male inside the residence making threats. Officers claim they saw him with a weapon. The man eventually left the residence with a weapon to his head and got into a parked vehicle when SWAT fired shots and killed him. No officers were charged.
