OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/17/2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., two Liberty County Sheriff’s Office deputies approached a white male walking near NE Todd Pullman Road in Hosford who had an active arrest warrant. Deputies instructed the man to drop his firearm. According to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, the man did not comply and raised the gun toward deputies. Deputies opened fire and struck him. He died at the location. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement responded and began an investigation into the shooting.
