OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
A patrol officer from Lufkin PD arrived at a domestic disturbance and someone had apparently fired a gun. The officers arrived. A woman opened the door with a handgun and the officer instantly killed her. The woman had been the person who had called police for help. She had a gun in her hand, apparently not to threaten police but to defend herself as she had reported a domestic violence incident. Unfortunately, police arrived and within seconds had fatally shot her before investigating facts or ever understanding who was victim and who was domestic attacker in this event.
