Goodyear PDsaw a man whom they felt may be responsible for a previous shooting and tried to arrest him. Goodyear PDcalled the Buckeye SWAT team. Theman ran away from officers and was tracked to the area of 75th Avenue and Southern where police fired beanbags and pepper balls at him. Police escalated a lethal confrontation and shot the man who died at the scene. Police allege that a handgun was recovered. His name was not released.No officers were charged.
