OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
JSO reported that at around 5:50 p.m., officers were conducting drug surveillance in the parking lot of the 13200 block of North Main St.
After observing multiple drug transactions from a car, narcotics detectives blocked the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle then fled on foot with a knife in his hand.
When the man turned toward them, two detectives fired both their issued weapons, striking him multiple times.
Rescue later transported the shot suspect to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.No officers were charged.
