Christopher Lee Mercurio was reportedly unhoused and sleeping/trespassing in front of a building and refused to leave. LASD deputy Lorena Gonzalez arrived, tried to arrest him and claims Mercurio walked toward her and she shot him. He died. He had been unarmed. No officers were charged.
