OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On February 25 at a motel in Circleville, Pamela Croston made suicidal threatsand said that she put a gun to her head. Ohio State Highway Patrol, Circleville PD and Pickaway County SO arrived at the Rodeway Inn on Route 23 and eventually found her in a motel room with the curtains closed. She stepped outside with the weapon still in hand. Deputies immediately shot her several times, killing her. It does not appear that any form of mental health crisis intervention was even attempted.
