Larimer County deputies stopped Brent Thompson, allege that he gave a fake name and then attempted to flee the scene on foot. Police used a taser on him which caused him to flee into the path of oncoming cars where he was hit and killed while trying to escape deputies. He had been stopped for expired registration. The officer was cleared by the DA.
