An unmarked police unit located and followed the vehicle onto westbound Interstate 580. The pursuit concluded near Miramonte Avenue in San Leandro, where the vehicle collided with the center median and came to a stop. Officers attempted to communicate with the man, deploying less-lethal munitions and gas, but received no response. Upon approaching the vehicle, they found him deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed in accordance with confidentiality laws related to domestic violence.

On March 7, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM, Muscogee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) Special Operations Unit initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by 27-year-old Demon Shaquille Moore, who was accompanied by 27-year-old Daizia Leatrice Williams. Moore did not stop. Deputies escalated the chase along Veterans Parkway in Columbus, Georgia. During the pursuit, deputies executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver to stop Moore's vehicle. The maneuver caused Moore to lose control, cross the median, overturn, and collide with another vehicle on Veterans Parkway. Moore attempted to escape on foot but was arrested at the scene. Both Moore and Williams were injured and transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital. Williams was pronounced dead at 4:01 PM on March 8, 2024.

On March 7, 2024, around 12:17 a.m., Northwestern State University (NSU) Police initiated a vehicle pursuit involving 51-year-old Georgia Lenelle Stenson on the NSU campus in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) was called to assist as the pursuit continued westbound on University Parkway. During the chase, Stenson's vehicle collided with three NPD patrol cars, causing moderate damage. The pursuit concluded on the southbound on-ramp to Interstate 49, where officers attempted to negotiate with Stenson to exit her vehicle. Subsequently, officers heard a single gunshot from within the car and found Stenson with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office.

On March 7, 2024, at approximately 9:30 PM, deputies from the Troup County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance at 1155 Shoemaker Road in West Point, Georgia. The call reported that 52-year-old Russell Heiser was armed and threatening to harm himself and possibly others inside the residence, including a child. Police evacuated several family members from the home, leaving Heiser inside alone. Around 11:45 PM, Heiser exited the residence, placed his handgun on the porch railing, and continued to communicate with deputies. Shortly after midnight, a deputy deployed a Taser, alleging that Heiser had attempted to retrieve the weapon. Heiser allegedly managed to obtain the handgun and pointed it at deputies. He fired a number of rounds as he retreated into the house. A single gunshot was heard from inside. Deputies entered the home and found Heiser unresponsive from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

On March 6, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a Kane County Sheriff's Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Durango traveling westbound on Route 64 at speeds of 92 mph. The driver did not stop. Officers escalated a chase which reached speeds of up to 110 mph. The deputy called off the chase and momentarily lost sight of the vehicle, but moments later, the deputy found the Durango crashed into a tree on the west side of Ramm Road. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The driver’s identity has not been released and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is under investigation by the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force. The identities of the officers involved have not been publicly disclosed.

On March 6, 2024, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Fullerton Police Department officers responded to reports of two men acting erratically outside a McDonald's restaurant on the 1300 block of South Brookhurst Road. Upon arrival, officers encountered 50-year-old Alejandro Campos Rios, who was shirtless, singing, and swinging a belt. Officers attempted to communicate with Rios for about 10 minutes, but he did not comply with commands to drop the belt. An officer deployed a Taser, which was ineffective. Subsequently, another officer fired multiple beanbag rounds from a shotgun, striking Rios. One of the beanbag rounds penetrated Rios's chest, causing significant bleeding. Officers provided medical aid until paramedics arrived and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident is under investigation by the Fullerton Police Department and the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

On 03/02/2024, Bureau of Indian Affairs law enforcement officers pursued Cody Whiterock, a Shoshone-Paiute man, outside the Duck Valley Indian Reservation in Owyhee County, Idaho. According to a federal civil rights lawsuit filed by Whiterock’s family, officers continued the chase outside their jurisdiction and shot Whiterock multiple times, including in the face, back, and chest. On March 6, 2024, Dothan Police responded to a report of a shooting at a home on Bunche Street, where 62-year-old Reinetta Ann Lewis was found dead in the front yard from multiple gunshot wounds. Her ex-husband, Ansel Lewis, was believed to have committed the shooting. Police quickly set up a perimeter around the house, placing nearby Dothan High School on lockdown. Crisis negotiators attempted to make contact with Ansel Lewis, but after no communication, the Special Response Team (SRT) entered the residence. A robot, used to inspect the area, revealed that Ansel Lewis was found dead inside, having died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Molina fired approximately six shots at the responding deputies. In response, Sergeant Noel Mercado, Deputy Joseph Sherbo, and Deputy Richard Delgaudio opened fire, discharging a total of 49 rounds, which resulted in Molina's death at the scene.

On March 6, 2024, at approximately 7:44 p.m., Sedgwick County 911 received a report of a man pointing a gun at another person in the 2300 block of North Fairview. Luis Alfonso Rivera, 35 years old, had left the residence before officers arrived.

At around 7:54 p.m., Wichita Police Department officers located Rivera walking south on Fairview with a handgun pressed to his head, shouting at the officers. Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, following him on foot and in vehicles as he proceeded west on 21st Street, continuing to hold the gun to his head and ignoring multiple commands to drop the weapon. A police negotiator used a patrol car's public address system to communicate with Rivera, but he remained unresponsive to directives.

At approximately 8:06 p.m., in a parking lot at 21st and Arkansas, an officer fired a beanbag round, striking Rivera in the back. Rivera then turned toward the officers, leveled his gun at them, and fired multiple rounds. Eight officers opened fire, striking Rivera multiple times. Officers administered aid until emergency medical services arrived, but Rivera was pronounced deceased at the location at 8:21 p.m.

On March 6, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers responded to a hit-and-run incident on westbound Interstate 80 east of Penryn. The man, later identified as 31-year-old Samuel Lee Cook, fled the scene in a Toyota pickup truck. Officers located Cook's vehicle parked on the right shoulder of I-80, just west of Penryn Road. As officers approached, Cook exited his vehicle and ran into oncoming traffic, where he was struck and killed by a big rig. The driver of the big rig remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. It is unclear why Cook ran into traffic, and investigations are ongoing to determine if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.

On March 4, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Sonoma County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a man brandishing a firearm outside La Hacienda del Toro, a nightclub on Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa. Upon arrival, deputies encountered 53-year-old Jose Luis Villasenor Cervantes, who was armed with an AK-47-style rifle. Cervantes opened fire on the deputies, initiating a pursuit during which he repeatedly stopped to shoot at law enforcement before fleeing again. The chase concluded when Cervantes crashed his vehicle into a fence on the 3200 block of Stony Point Road. Following the collision, deputies found Cervantes deceased. The Sonoma County Coroner's Office later determined that Cervantes died from blunt force trauma sustained in the crash.

During the incident, four deputies sustained injuries. Deputy Nicholas Dellia suffered critical head injuries and burns after being accidentally struck by a fellow deputy's vehicle while deploying spike strips. He was hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The other three deputies sustained injuries to their hands and legs; two were treated and released, while the third remained hospitalized.

Approximately 15 minutes later, Johanna arrived at the Industry Sheriff's Station, located about a mile from her foster home. She knocked on the station's door, and when a deputy opened it, an altercation ensued during which Johanna managed to remove the deputy's firearm from its holster. She then used the weapon to inflict a fatal gunshot wound upon herself.

On 03/03/2024, in the early morning hours, U.S. Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) agents were conducting operations in the Puebla Tree area of the Otay Mountains, approximately five miles east of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry. This area had recently experienced armed robberies and assaults targeting migrants crossing into the United States.

BORTAC agents were strategically positioned, with a small group concealed about 70 yards north of the border along a ravine near a paved road, and a precision marksman stationed on high ground approximately 275 yards away, providing overwatch. Witness accounts indicate a group of migrants was walking on the paved road when they were approached by four individuals, at least one armed with a handgun. The armed individual demanded money, chambered a round, and pointed the weapon at one of the migrants. At that moment, the BORTAC precision marksman fired one round, striking the armed individual.

The migrants reported hearing a single gunshot and saw the assailant fall but were unaware of the shot's origin. No other injuries were reported. A handgun was recovered near the individual. Agents apprehended 17 migrants in the area, while three other individuals, possibly armed, fled into Mexico.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and CBP's Office of Professional Responsibility are investigating the incident. On 03/03/2024, deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of a man, Abdul Kamara, 29, acting erratically near the Vista Detention Facility. Kamara was initially arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance after he was found crawling in a parking lot in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. While in custody, Kamara reportedly exhibited self-harming behavior and resisted detention. Deputies restrained Kamara using a WRAP device, and he later experienced a medical emergency. Despite life-saving efforts, Kamara was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The San Diego Police Department's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, and the San Diego County Medical Examiner is determining the official cause of death. Additional investigations are being conducted by the Sheriff's Department, the Citizens' Law Enforcement Review Board (CLERB), and the San Diego County District Attorney's Office.

On March 3, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM, officers from the Clarkesville Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a truck driven by 48-year-old William Charles Lamberti. Lamberti did not stop. Police escalated the chase along Georgia Highway 115 in Habersham County. The Habersham County Sheriff's Office and Demorest Police Department joined the high-speed chase. A Habersham County Sheriff's deputy performed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, bringing the pursuit to an end near Georgia Highway 115 and Habersham Mills Road. Lamberti, under intense pressure from a multi-agency high-speed chase and the aggressive PIT maneuver, shot himself inside the truck. Emergency Medical Services treated Lamberti and transported him to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident due to the use of the PIT maneuver. Lamberti's body was taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

A man had robbed a convenience store, pistol-whipped a person. Police happened to drive by and saw it, took up chase. The man fled to his home and allegedly had a gun in his hand. He began walking toward police. Three officers opened fire, killing him.

On March 3, 2024, at approximately 2:15 a.m., an Iowa State Police trooper observed a vehicle driving erratically near the intersection of North Brady Street and East 53rd in Davenport, Iowa. The driver, later identified as 20-year-old Javier Villareal, did not stop when officers attempted a traffic stop.

Troopers escalated a high-speed pursuit northbound on Brady Street, during which the vehicle reportedly exceeded the posted speed limits. The pursuit ended near the intersection of North Brady Street and East 53rd when Villareal’s vehicle left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned before coming to rest in a ditch.

Emergency responders pronounced Villareal dead at the crash location. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash.

The Iowa State Police have stated that the actions leading up to the crash are under investigation. Findings will be reviewed by the Polk County Attorney’s Office.

On March 2, 2024, officers from the Eureka Springs Police Department responded to a disturbance call at the Rowdy Beaver Den. Upon finding Christopher Vanschoick in a car in the parking lot, a confrontation ensued. During the altercation, police shot and killed Vanschoick. The investigation is currently being handled by the Arkansas State Police.
