Joshua Kinyon Perryman Taft was standing outside of a bar and reportedly not cooperating with police commands after they responded to a call to help Taft’s girlfriend outside Spirit 76 on South 129th East Ave on Feb. 18. Taft said 'Don't touch me bro' which police found confrontational. He reportedly did not take his hands out of his pockets and again stated “Don’t fucking touch me bro” and took on a position as if drawing a weapon and walked away. An officer fired 10 shots and killed him. Police did not confirm whether he had been armed nor why he was shot while walking away.
