OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
After 10:20 p.m. on 02/16/2023, a call came in about a domestic dispute in which the caller alleged that a man was holding 2 family members at gunpoint in an apartment. Miami PD and SWAT fired pepper balls inside of the apartment and finally smashed a window with a batter ram, gaining entry into the home. They encountered a man and shot and killed the man. He was not publicly identified by police.
