Gloucester County deputies responded to the 7000 block of Ark Road following a report of an armed man trying to break into a home. The deputies encountered a man identified by Virginia State Police on Monday as 52-year-old Willie Dion Giles, who allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired it at the deputies. Deputies shot and killed him.
