OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 03-20-2023Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deputies assigned to the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force attempted to serve a felony warrant in the 200 Block of East Missouri. The warrant was issued for a petition to revoke probation of a narcotics conviction. When police arrived, the man allegedly had a gun. Police had established a perimeter around the residence. Police shot the residence with chemical agents and finally forcibly entered and shot and killed the man. The “gun” turned out to be an Airsoft. The man had been unarmed.
