OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 03/19/2023 at approximately 4:20 PM, Hobart Police Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of West Old Ridge Road for shots fired. When police arrived, they heard a shot fired inside of the home. Residents who had come outsidesaid there was a male still inside the home with a handgun. A perimeter was set and Northwest Regional SWAT was activated and upon their forced entry at 7:15 PM, SWAT discovered a dead man inside the residence from apparent suicide under police duress.
