OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Springville PD were sent to a report of shots fired near 1500 West when someone reported hearing "semiauto rapid fire" while a second caller reported hearing eight to 10 shots fired in rapid succession.Officers searched and came across a car that had struck a concrete barrier near 1200 West and 1000 North. The man inside began firing at officers. One officer was stuck in the leg. "Another officer arrived (at) the same scene seconds later. A second officer opened fire.It is not known how many shots were fired from either side. The man fell to the ground and died at the scene.
