A man used a rifle to fire 100 rounds at bystanders and officers and LASD deputies responded to a home in Valinda around 2:30 p.m. on 03/13/2023. During the event, SWAT had filled the home with chemical agents, launched a militarized response and brought BearCats and battering ram vehicles. The man was found dead inside from suicide under police duress.
