OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

Montclair PD on 03/05/2023 received a 911 call by Antonio Ibanez’ landlady who felt that he was on drugs and needed a welfare check. Police arrived, attacked him with a taser and batons. Ibanez was then taken to the hospital where he was found to be brain-dead after the electric shocks and a documented beating by police and he was placed on life support until his death. Cause of death and autopsy were not shared with the public. The names of the involved officers were also withheld by police.
