OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Officers received a call about a man in a dumpster and when they arrived, the man allegedly fled in a stolen vehicle. He hit multiple vehicles. Lake Jackson PD used stop sticks and the man allegedly exited the vehicle and approached officers with a knife. Police then shot him multiple times, killing him.
An eyewitness who was across the street at a Dollar General and witnessed the crash and shooting, challenges the police narrative, stating that the car was in a ditch at such an angle that the man could not extricate himself and that he had no weapon. A second witness also challenged the police story.
