Alachua County deputies arrived to arrest Joseph Ogle for a previous domestic incident. Police bore down on the house, tearing off much of the outer walls by heavy equipment, firing inside at Ogle. Ogle fired back. Police shot and killed him. Ogle had been a sovereign citizen, a group with political beliefs that do not recognize state and police authority who are often targeted by police.
