Coral Springs tried to traffic-stop a car for dark window tint. The car fled and police escalated a chase until the vehicle hit a bystander car, ejecting and killing 6-year-old Harlow Jet Tran.Police allegedly did not pursue when the driver of a white 2023 Mercedes-Benz drove away from a traffic stop. The vehicle fled at high speed and collided with a 2018 gray Chevrolet Traverse carrying six-year-old Harlow Jet Tran and her great-grandmother. The impact split the Traverse in half, ejecting Harlow, who was secured in a car seat. She was airlifted to Broward General Medical Center, where she died from her injuries. Harlow's great-grandmother sustained life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. The fleeing driver and two passengers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
