Deputies from the Special Enforcement Bureau were serving a warrant on a man at 7:08 p.m. Wednesday near Meadowbrook Avenue between Peach Street and Highway 74. They saw him leaving in a vehicle and escalated a chase. The man lost control of the vehicle near Meadowbrook Avenue and Peach Street, abandoned it, allegedly fired shots at the deputies. Riverside PD shot and killed him. Riverside County PD did not publicly identify the man or provide more information.
