Alexander Grunke was wanted for possible involvement in a homicide in another county and was located in Dane County. He fled. His car was disabled. Police found the 13-year-old child of the woman whom the man had allegedly killed dead inside the vehicle from so far unknown causes. A 5-month-old infant was handed to a person in a random residence before the couple continued fleeing. The man was allegedly armed and accompanied by an armed woman. The couple locked themselves in a home on Ramsey Road where SWAT bore down on the residence until the man allegedly killed the woman and then committed suicide under police duress. It is not entirely clear under which circumstances the woman died and she is therefore not included in this database until her killing is confirmed to have occurred under police duress.
