On April 9, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., employees at a business in the 7500 block of Exchange Drive in Orlando, Florida, reported a man trespassing on the property. The individual, identified as 65-year-old Christopher Alvin Lee, had previously been issued a trespass warning for the same location.

Employees stated that Lee was holding a box cutter, which raised alarm. Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Office arrived and approached Lee. During their interaction, an altercation ensued, during which deputies shot and killed Lee. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
