The Ontario Police Department asked the Fayette Sheriff’s Office for help chasing a vehicle that was heading into Fruitland, Idaho. Police said they were chasing the vehicle because it was a Jetta without headlights and without license plates that may be driving too fast. Police chased the Jetta to Elmore Road and US-30 where it left the road, crashed into a canal and hit concrete. A 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old boy died in the crash. They have not been identified so far. Police allege that the Jetta was stolen.

A Baton Rouge officer crashed into eight vehicles while racing to Government Street where someone had allegedly fired at police. The officer involved in this wreck was traveling at unknown speed, hit a Domino’s delivery driver and 7 other cars. The impact ejected the engine of the pizza delivery vehicle and sent it airborne. Caleb James Chapetta, a third-party motorist who was on the road when the police cruiser crashed into multiple cars at once, was ejected from his vehicle from the high-speed impact and died. The exact speed of the officer is unknown. Also unknown is the necessity of the racing cruiser as multiple vehicles typically respond to a “shots fired” call and the need for numerous police cars to race through town commonly presents duplicate efforts and risks.

NYPD hunted a man described only as being in his 20s on a scooter who fit the description of someone sought in a robbery elsewhere. Police escalated a hunt against the scooter just before noon in the location depicted above, sourced from Google View. The chase ended when he collided at the above intersection with a box truck and died.
The hunt after this scooter was part of a wider NYC approach to crack down on scooters because Mayor Adams feels that too many crimes are being committed by people who escape on scooters. There have been a number of aggressive incidents including at least 2 deaths in NY with attacks by police on scooter drivers in 2023 so far due to these new policies, this being the third known to us.

Ledyard PD arrived at 70 Whalehead Road, the residence of 47-year-old Daniel DiCicco for felony warrant for Failure to Appear on weapons-related charges. The origin and immediate context of this charge, and thereby also its significance, are unknown at this time as police presented the matter as a simple FTA warrant in the news while they seemingly staged a small war against DiCicco with obviously most relevant context of the situation not relayed to the public by police.
On 10/19/2023, “authorities” reported by media which were later revealed to be local police together with the FBI, arrived at 70 Whalehead Road, a sparsely populated heavily wooded area and multi-team fed+local police allegedly evacuated the few neighbors this address shows on sat view to exist. The reasons for a preemptive evacuation are unknown and appear out of context with the official explanation that they were picking up an FTA skip on a simple warrant. Authorities in New London, CT County state that a search warrant to look for “weapons-related” charges was issued. This triggered today’s raid. The only other thing local authorities said on behalf of the PD+FBI raid was: “When agents could safely enter the property, DiCicco was unconscious and declared dead.”

Daniel Brown, an unhoused 63-year-old cyclist, was riding east on State Road 200 around 3 a.m. near On Top of the World, a retirement community. East of the intersection with Southwest 80 Avenue, a sheriff’s office SUV came flying at 96 mph in a 50 mph zone without lights or sirens and with evidence that no brakes were ever used and hit and killed Brown on his bicycle. The deputy told troopers he could not see the cyclist before hitting them. Daniel Brown died at the scene.
Deputy Jaglal could have been charged with vehicular homicide but was cleared of criminal charges and was cited for failure to use due care when approaching a pedestrian or bicyclist. The ticket, the only repercussion for this deputy, requires a mandatory court appearance. Jalal's driver's license could be suspended for up to six months, and he could be fined up to $1,000. The case is pending a court appearance.

Round Lake Beach PD were called to a residence where a man who had once had a relationship with the resident had arrived and was unwanted. The resident had called police and the man left. Police allege that he had a meat cleaver at one point but there is no report of violence so far reported during the home invasion event.
Police arrived and looked for him, found him and hunted him westbound on Rollins Road. Police escalated a chase and promptly “called off the chase” before the vehicle crashed into 2 parked cars. The force of the pursuit crash was such that one of the parked vehicles spun into a 55-year-old man who was there to look at the vehicles as they were for sale. The 55-year-old was transported to the hospital in unknown condition and his survival is unknown. The man who had been hunted by police into this crash died and was identified as 38-year-old Lamar Chargois.

Kerrville PD saw a white Honda sedan when they were looking for a stolen vehicle fitting that description. Leonard Cure was traffic-stopped on the I-95 in Camden County, Georgia on 10/16/2023 and reportedly cooperated with the deputy until he was told he was under arrest. It is unknown how the deputy approached him or why he was suddenly attacked by taser at a traffic stop but he allegedly fought the deputy because he did not want to go back to jail under any circumstances. He was shot and killed.
Leonard Cure had spent 16 years in a Florida prison and was exonerated when his innocence was proven in 2020. His reaction to being told that he was under arrest for an unknown traffic infraction was to try to escape. He was murdered in the process. Police have no comment so far, have not made claims thus far that he had been armed and have not commented why they killed him. Leonard Cure died at a traffic stop in Georgia at the hands of a deputy on 10/16/2023.
*** 10/20/2023 UPDATE: It was discovered that deputy Buck Aldridge who killed Leonard Cure has a profound history of excessive force and on-duty and off-duty misconduct that caused him to be fired from his previous employer, the Kingsland PD. He was hired as deputy by Camden County in 2017 and is a sergeant.

Edgefield County deputies made a traffic stop. The driver exited the vehicle while the passenger jumped in the driver’s seat and drove away. Police escalated a chase, apparently with a shootout, and the chase went through Highway 23 to Woodyard Road and onto SC-19. Police fired at Robertson. A passenger ran away under fire from police and Robertson ran into nearby woods on the I-20. Geoffry Frank Walker had 2 warrants for a previous family violence episode. Bartow County deputies located him and began an aggressive manhunt for the stated reason of these family fights, attacking him with a PIT maneuver and forcing him to crash his vehicle. Walker reportedly “hopped” out of his vehicle and fled according to local media with police unleashing and siccing a K9 after him. Walker allegedly fired a shot at the police K9 and injured him. The police dog was taken to the hospital and survived. Police chased Walker behind a hotel compound and shot and killed him. Police also seemingly mocked him when they described him as “hopping” away from the vehicle but this description suggests that he may have been injured by the aggressive PIT and dog attack. Police did not state how the police dog was injured, whether by bullet by police or by Walker fighting back.
