When a call came in that someone was firing shots in the air, Indianapolis PD with SWAT appeared, chased a vehicle, created a standoff while Duran-Ruano under police pressure held a gun to his own head. Police shot and killed him. This was the second SWAT killing under police duress by Indianapolis PD and SWAT in one week.
