OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Calhoun PD chased an allegedly stolen vehicle at high speeds until it crashed into a bystander’s vehicle. The fleeing driver was killed and the third party driver was airlifted to a hospital. This police chase crash caused a secondary fatality accident by vehicles trying to avoid the first chase crash. A total of 2 died and 1 person was life-flighted with 1 dead and 1 gravely injured person being bystanders in different vehicles.
