OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
on June 28, 2024, in Upland, California, was the result of a high-speed pursuit involving several law enforcement agencies, including the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Rancho Cucamonga Police, and Ontario Police. Deputies initially attempted to stop a black 2018 Hyundai at around 1:50 AM on suspicion of DUI. The driver fled, and the chase lasted about six minutes before the Hyundai crashed into a white Mustang, then a pole, at 16th Street and Mountain Avenue. The Hyundai split into multiple pieces and caught fire. Tragically, four individuals died at the scene, including 16-year-old Jesus Guillen. A 13-year-old was also involved, surviving the crash but requiring hospitalization. The Hyundai had been reported stolen, and a loaded firearm was found on one of the deceased individuals.
