Shortly before 1 a.m., officers observed a white Jeep speeding near 19th Street and Greenfield Avenue. Milwaukee PD allege that the driver ran a red light near Cesar E. Chavez Drive and Greenfield Avenue. Police tried stopping the vehicle for reckless driving, and the driver sped off.
While being chased, the driver lost control and crashed into a vacant building near 23rd and Hopkins. The two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.
