George Bell, a 68-year-old third-party motorist was driving down the street on Powhatan Parkway in Hampton, VA when a police vehicle lost control, hit two unoccupied parked vehicles and then hit a house. George Bell was in the first vehicle that was hit by the officer. He died in the hospital 2 weeks later from injuries. It is not known how fast the officer was driving and why they may have been speeding.

The Ozark CountySheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a trespassing in Baxter County at a residence on State Highway 201 North. Minutes later, the sheriff’s office received a second call about a loud disturbance at the same residence with people shouting and arguing.
Baxter County deputies arrived on the scene at approximately 10:10 a.m. and saw a man leaving on a motorcycle. The motorcycle traveled down Baxter County Road 35, and the deputies escalated a chase. The motorcycle and one of the deputy’s vehicles collided. The motorcyclist died.

A motorcycle driver died in the hospital following a police chase that ended in a wreck in Wayne County. A Perry County deputy in the Richton area had tried to stop Henry Edward Pittman on MS-42 and initiated a traffic stop, but the motorcycle driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase. Pittman crashed at the intersection of Brewertown Road and Narvel Brewer Road in Wayne County. He died.

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office stated that a 23-year-old armed man abducted a 7-month-old baby girl. He had been in a relationship with the baby’s mother. The North Baltimore Police Chief had initially responded to a domestic dispute and said the person was homicidal and suicidal, threatening the child’s life. The baby’s mother was tracking the person’s location through her phone and passing the information on. An off-duty officer saw the vehicle and police tried to pull them over but the person led officers on a chase. He eventually accelerated at a high speed and veered off the road, hitting a house on Sandusky Street at full-speed.
Authorities surrounded the vehicle and broke the back window to get the baby out. Police say the 7-month-old was bleeding and had shallow breathing. The person was extricated from the vehicle and both were taken to an area hospital for treatment. According to Tiffin Police, the infant died from her injuries. The man is in critical condition.

On Sunday, June 25, 2023, a police chase caused a crash involving 5 vehicles near the intersection of Northeast Glisan Street and Northeast 147th Avenue. Jennifer Parise was killed.

The fleeing person was traveling west on Northeast Glisan Street when he rear-ended two cars, one unoccupied parked car and another car that was occupied by two people. A woman in that car died and the other occupant was injured. The car then veered into the eastbound lane and hit two additional occupied cars. Two occupants from one of those eastbound cars went on their own to an area hospital to be evaluated.

A 2015 Dodge Avenger passenger car on State Highway 36 was being chased by Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Two vehicles were on the side of the road, a disabled car and a pedestrian attempting to connect a tow chain between the two vehicles with the pedestrian lying under the front of the Buick when the fleeing vehicle being chased by policelost control of the vehicle and crashing into the Buick and the Mercury.
The pedestrian, Daniel Jerome Schafer, was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash. It is unknown why Hamilton County deputies conducted this fatal chase.

Georgia State troopers saw a motorcyclist going 100 mph in a 70-mph zone on Interstate 75 in Cobb County, swerving “in and out of traffic” and driving in the emergency lane at an “extremely high rate of speed,” police said. A trooper lost control of their vehicle and struck a guardrail and then another car traveling southbound. Both vehicles went off the right side of the highway before coming to a stop. On 06/22/2023 at about 12:22 a.m., a San Pablo police officer saw a green 1997 Nissan Altima speeding on San Pablo Dam Road. The driver failed to yield to a traffic stop. San Pablo PD escalated a chase to 90 miles per hour. After about 0.7 miles and 30 seconds, the officer claims to have terminated the pursuit. Soon, the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office notified San Pablo police about a rollover collision involving the Nissan in the 5000 block of Appian Way. A 29-year-old unnamed man had died as a result of the police chase crash.

Rainen Andrew Richards was riding his motorcycle east on M-43 at a high rate of speed, while a Bangor Police officer was chasing him for this moving violation. The motorcycle collided with a pickup truck as a result of the chase. The officer chasing the motorcycle then also collided with the pickup truck. The motorcyclist died.
