Byron Tuircuit, 56, was allegedly driving recklessly in the area of Little Hope Street and LA 44 in Garyville. St. John the Baptist Parish deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop as Tuircuit traveled on LA 44, but hedrove away, and deputies escalated a chase. He lost control at the intersection of East 20th Street and the vehicle flipped several times, killing him.
