The Ontario Police Department asked the Fayette Sheriff’s Office for help chasing a vehicle that was heading into Fruitland, Idaho. Police said they were chasing the vehicle because it was a Jetta without headlights and without license plates that may be driving too fast. Police chased the Jetta to Elmore Road and US-30 where it left the road, crashed into a canal and hit concrete. A 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old boy died in the crash. They have not been identified so far. Police allege that the Jetta was stolen.
