During a traffic stop, police found a nationwide arrest warrant for Gilbert Montoya. He fled and Las Vegas Metro PD escalated a chase after Gilbert Anthony Montoya until he crashed into a building near S. Grand Avenue and Chavez Street and died. Another man who was a passenger in the vehicle was airlifted to an Albuquerque hospital to be treated for major injuries with unknown outcome. No officers were charged.
