Gevante Dale Bolton, 28, was driving a Chevrolet Impala was headed south on I-81 and sped through a Botetourt County Sheriff deputy’s radar at 99 miles per hour. The deputy began chasing the him. He did not stop and continued south. Police allege that they stopped the chase just as they received a call that he had crashed. He had hit a tractor-trailer that was illegally parked on the entrance ramp, then caught fire.
Gevante Bolton and Dale Brown died.
