According to the Port Wentworth Police Department, officers were conducting speed checks on Highway 21 near Grange Road when they tried to traffic-stop a vehicle for speeding. The vehicle did not stop, made a U-turn and headed southbound on Highway 21. Police escalated a chase exceeding 100 mph. The driver allegedly tried to get off the exit, lost control of the vehicle and crashed and died as a result of the police chase crash.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to East Michigan Avenue just east of Harris Road in Ypsilanti Township for a crash and a “police situation” involving a 37-year-old Detroit man and the Ypsilanti Police Department.
Jackson did not reveal any additional information about what the “police situation” entailed but the man fled police and was chased into the path of a bystander vehicle. Elizabeth Messner was found dead in the bystander vehicle.
An eyewitness took their testimony to city council and referred to the incident as a “high-speed chase” involving the Ypsilanti Police Department. Police only shared a preliminary report with city leaders, according to two Ypsilanti City Council members, Steve Wilcoxen and Annie Somerville, who both declined to discuss its contents on-the-record since it was marked “confidential.”

James Huber was in Buffalo to support the Peace March of Canadian truckers. Police allege that he was speeding. He stopped on command. It is alleged that the trooper put a gun in his face and screamed F-bombs. Huber calmly said “go away”, reversed the car, was shot dead while the car lunged forward and hit concrete barrier.

Driver killed in police chase crash after alleged burglary

Two people and a police K9 were killed as a result of a police chase crash in York. A deputy reportedly attempted to traffic-stop a 2008 silver Ford F-150 seen to be driving erratically in York County. The vehicle did not immediately stop and police escalated a chase in excess of 100 miles per hour and continued to Road H and Road 18 where the vehicle stopped. Police allege that the man concealed his hands and advised officers that he wanted to die. Police claim that he advanced toward the officers and took over the marked patrol canine unit.
The man gained control of the police cruiser and another chase began.
The patrol vehicle stopped on the railroad tracks. The man then exited the vehicle and stood outside the vehicle as a train approached.
Officers tried to intervene and regain control of the patrol vehicle and retrieve the canine. The man got back into the patrol vehicle and a train blocked officers on the south which the man used to turn around and approach the train at fast speeds. The man struck a bystander vehicle at the crossing. Edinger and the K9 were killed in the crash.
