Ozark police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop “for impaired driving and multiple traffic violations.” The driver headed west from MO Highway 14 and N. 22nd Street, took off at a high rate of speed with police escalating a chase. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle after failing to negotiate a curve on MO Highway 14 near 32nd Street. The driver went off the roadway, struck a utility pole and died. He had been a juvenile.
