Multiple law enforcement agencies chased a man on the highway after having received a call for a child sexual abuse investigation. The man, identified only as a Latino man named Miguel, no last name given, fled at high speed from police but returned home and locked himself in.
He escaped again, ramming his way through a Cochise County Sheriff’s Office vehicle, fled east on I-10, then north on U.S. Highway 191 at speeds in excess of 100 mph.
Stop sticks were about to be placed at milepost 98 but the car turned around and drove south, then turned west and another attempt near that anticipated location at spike strips was made. A Grappler was used to stop him. He picked up a gun and committed suicide under police duress when ensnared by the Grappler.

A Border Patrol agent driving an unmarked F150 pickup truck equipped for canine duty observed a Blue Honda Ridgeline pickup truck pass him going northbound on East Frontage Road. Border Patrol observed multiple people in the vehicle that had been communicated by a camera to them, the Border Patrol agent caught up to the vehicle and escalated a chase. Other agents were called in to join, brought helicopters and chased the vehicle until it lost control, rolled over, killed 2 people, 1 mexican citizen and 1 US citizen. Five others were injured in the migrant hunt and remain unidentified.
