On 03/14/2025, a 49-year-old male from Shorewood was booked into Milwaukee County Jail by Shorewood police on three criminal charges. On the evening of 03/17/2025, a nurse from Wellpath, the jail’s medical provider, observed the man experiencing a health crisis and initiated emergency protocols, including administering Narcan. Stabilization efforts were unsuccessful. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on 03/18/2025. The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation, as required by Wisconsin law.

On March 8, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Milwaukee Police Department officers responded to a report of an entry into a business near 32nd Street and Lancaster Avenue. A caller reported that a man fired a gun in their direction. Officers searched the area and located two men near 37th Street and Lancaster Avenue. During the encounter, police stated that a 41-year-old man was armed and did not comply with commands to drop his weapon. An officer opened fire, killing him. Officers recovered a firearm at the scene. A second man, 34, was taken into custody.
The officer involved is a 43-year-old with more than 10 years of service and was placed on administrative duty, which is standard procedure. The Milwaukee Area Investigative Team is handling the case, with the Wauwatosa Police Department leading the investigation.

On 03/05/2025, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Hudson police responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 1600 block of Namekagon Street. An officer contacted a man by phone, who made concerning statements suggesting potential danger within the home and threatened to provoke officers into shooting him. After several hours of negotiation, the man exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. Upon searching the home, officers discovered a deceased woman inside. The identities of both individuals and the cause of the woman's death have not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.

On February 27, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., an Iowa County Sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 14 near Arena, Wisconsin. The driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase. The driver lost control and crashed. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

OOn the evening of February 24, 2025, Fond du Lac County Sheriff's deputies contacted 26-year-old Jesús Armando Méndez Berry, who had an outstanding felony warrant. A citizen had reported seeing a handgun in Méndez Berry's waistband. Deputies located him in the 6300 block of Cherrywood Drive in the Town of Fond du Lac. After Méndez Berry allegedly refused to follow repeated commands, a deputy discharged a non-lethal weapon. Méndez Berry then produced what deputies believed to be a firearm, prompting another deputy to discharge their firearm at 6:22 p.m., striking him. Life-saving measures were attempted, and Méndez Berry was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. ​Upon further investigation, it has been confirmed that Jesús Armando Méndez Berry was holding a black Gamo 430 CO2 Pellet/BB Handgun at the time of the incident. Deputies initially believed it to be a firearm, leading to the shooting.

On February 12, 2025, just before noon, Milwaukee Police Department officers responded to reports of a man firing a rifle into the air near 27th Street and Wisconsin Avenue, west of Marquette University. Upon arrival, officers encountered 24-year-old Isaiah W. Stott and ordered him to drop the weapon. Stott instead fired at the officers, injuring a 34-year-old male officer. A 37-year-old male officer, also with eight years of service, discharged his firearm, striking Stott. Stott was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The Milwaukee Area Investigative Team is conducting the investigation, with the Oak Creek Police Department serving as the lead agency. Body camera footage from the incident will be released in accordance with standard operating procedures. The officer who discharged his weapon has been placed on administrative duty, per departmental protocol.

On February 1, 2025, a Columbia County Sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Interstate 90 near Portage, Wisconsin. The driver did not stop. On January 18, 2025, officers from the Wausau Police Department and deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office escalated a chase against a vehicle for undisclosed reasons. A man died after being transported by Madison police officers to the Dane County Jail on December 31, 2024. Madison Police Department officers responded to a report of a vehicle theft at the Best Western on Annamark Drive. Police pursued him due to suspected vehicle theft. After a foot chase, he was apprehended. EMS evaluated the individual on-scene, after which law enforcement transported him to the Dane County Jail. it is unknown why EMS examined him on location during the arrest, but this suggests that he was injured. However, there is nothing mentioned in the official police reports. Upon arrival at the jail, het was found unresponsive and was immediately transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he passed away on December 31, 2024.

On January 9, 2025, a male inmate at Racine County Jail died after being attacked by another inmate. The attack, which lasted approximately 47 seconds, was captured on surveillance footage. It shows Carraway punching Lee multiple times, causing his head to strike a cell door and the concrete floor. Carraway then placed Lee headfirst into a 55-gallon garbage can. Despite other inmates' attempts to intervene, no one alerted corrections officers immediately. Joseph Lee had been arrested for allegedly manufacturing and delivering cocaine.

Lee was discovered by jail staff about 22 minutes after the assault and was transported to a hospital. He was pronounced dead on January 1, 2025. An autopsy revealed that Lee died from blunt-force injuries to his head and spine.

On December 10, 2024, the Oshkosh Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing incident at a residence in the 400 block of West 10th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim with stab wounds on the front porch of 433 West 10th Avenue. They learned that the stabbing occurred next door at 437 West 10th Avenue, where the suspect and another victim were still inside. Officers entered the residence and encountered the suspect armed with a bladed weapon. An officer opened fire, resulting in the man's death. A second female stabbing victim was found inside the house. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. On 12/08/2024, at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers from the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to a welfare check at a residence on Kellner Road in the Town of Grand Rapids, Wisconsin. Upon arrival, they encountered an uncooperative woman and requested additional assistance from the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department and the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
During the arrest, the woman reportedly resisted, leading to a physical altercation with the officers as they attempted to take her into custody. Shortly after being restrained, the woman became unresponsive. Emergency medical services were called, and she was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Amherst Police arrived at 450 Mill Avenue to arrest a man for unknown reasons. Police described him as “armed and dangerous.” Police engaged the man in a shootout and called SWAT. A lengthy militarized siege on the home ensued. A neighbor described SWAT using what may have been an armored SWAT caterpillar or other heavy equipment to tear away several windows and much of the front of the house while the residents were inside. Police arrested several people in the home for harboring a fugitive. Miller who was wanted for allegedly firing at or trying to harm a police officer was found dead inside of the home after a lengthy war-like engagement with SWAT. It is not immediately clear whether SWAT shot him or he died from suicide under police duress.

Racine Police were called for a man who was seen lying on the ground on a path. When police arrived, he allegedly fired a shot toward them.
