Deputy Gregory Streeter from the Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic incident around 10:30 p.m. involving Gilberto Martinez-Nava, 37, and his ex-wife. Martinez-Nava allegedly was choking his ex-wife during an argument and grabbed a knife when family members intervened. Dispatch reported that Martinez-Nava was agitated, suicidal, and a danger to his family. Streeter arrived at the home at 10:35 p.m., where he was greeted at the door by an older woman. Martinez-Nava, standing behind her, allegedly threatened the deputy with the knife. After ordering Martinez-Nava to drop the knife without compliance, Streeter shot and killed him.

Deputies from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office were attempting to locate Lewis Moores II around 9:50 a.m. to arrest him on outstanding warrants. Two deputies ordered Moores to come out of his home. After about 10 minutes, Moores fired at the deputies, prompting one deputy to return fire. A standoff ensued, lasting approximately two hours, during which Moores periodically fired more shots while refusing to surrender. Moores ultimately shot and killed himself.

Deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle driven by a woman at 2:45 a.m., with Johnny Ray Kirk and Michael Allen Lawson as passengers. After the stop, Kirk jumped out of the passenger seat and immediately fired toward two deputies who had arrived in separate cruisers. The deputies shot and killed Kirk. He was wanted for allegedly kidnapping two 16-year-old girls in Walton County and murdering an 80-year-old man.

Police responded to a shooting on Benjamin Franklin Drive after 11:30 p.m. involving Billy Niewold, a former maintenance employee who had been fired from his job at a condo. Niewold allegedly fired gunshots into an empty car and got into a dispute with two people afterward. He then barricaded himself in the building and shot and killed himself hours later.

Officers from the Tampa Police Department responded to a report of a fight at a Texaco station around 10 p.m., with information that one person involved may be armed with a gun. Upon arrival, John Reuben Turbe Jr. ran from the scene. An officer pursuing Turbe reportedly noticed he had a gun. Turbe allegedly turned and pointed the gun at the officer, who then shot and killed him.

John Earle Barnes called police for help around midnight and then began arguing with responding deputies. He also streamed his interaction with them on Facebook. During the altercation, family members reported that Barnes stepped out of his trailer with a pellet gun and pointed it toward the deputies, who shot and killed him.

Around 12:40 p.m., dispatch received a call regarding a disturbance. When deputies arrived, the man, believed to be armed, barricaded himself in the home and refused to come out. After several hours of negotiations that extended into the next morning, police entered the home and found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Officers responded to a report of gunfire shortly before 2 a.m. inside a residence near the Homestead Air Reserve Base. A 38-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were found dead inside the home. Three other victims, ages 18, 16, and 11, were taken to the hospital. The suspected shooter, the 42-year-old boyfriend of one of the victims, died by apparent suicide after shooting himself at a nearby location as officers tried to negotiate with him.

Doral police officers spotted an allegedly stolen white Volkswagen around 6:15 a.m. and attempted to pull over the driver. The driver continued driving, and police reportedly stopped chasing him after he left Doral city limits. The driver later crashed the car into a canal and was killed.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, along with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, went to a trailer to attempt to arrest Arnold Frazier Hager Jr. Hager was wanted for eight counts of sexual battery on a child in Maryland. When officers arrived, they used a PA system to order Hager to exit the trailer. Hager fired a gun from the trailer before coming out with a black semiautomatic handgun in his hand. Officers from FDLE and JSO shot and killed him.

Deputies from the Collier County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for assistance from the Hendry County Sheriff's Office in the pursuit of a stolen dump truck driven by Rudolfo Villanueva into Immokalee. The truck did not stop, crashing into a vehicle on New Market Road, causing injuries to that driver. Villanueva continued driving recklessly, crashing into another vehicle and driving away from deputies into Farm Worker Village. Despite attempts to stop the truck, Villanueva continued to drive erratically. Deputies shot at the truck, which eventually crashed into a canal. Villanueva was killed.

Officers from the Miramar Police Department attempted to stop a black Mercedes sedan. The driver, Everette Orette Brown, continued driving and headed south on Southwest 64th Avenue, where the Mercedes struck a pedestrian. Officers pursued the car until it crashed into multiple light poles and a fire hydrant, overturning around 9 p.m. Brown was killed in the crash.

A trooper from the Florida Highway Patrol allegedly clocked a vehicle at 111 mph on a highway near Tampa. When the trooper attempted to pull over the driver, Jennifer Carvajal, she made a hard right turn, sending the Hyundai Elantra down an embankment. The vehicle went airborne, hitting a concrete light pole and a palm tree. Pedro Carbajal, 22, was killed in the crash. Carvajal, 24, was arrested, and other occupants were injured.

Officers from the Winter Haven Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance call around 10:10 p.m. after Larry Jenkins fired a gun in his apartment. Jenkins was shot and killed after he allegedly pulled a gun out of his pocket following being tasered at least twice.

Ojay Cummings rear-ended a car driven by a man who was with his wife. After an argument, Cummings took a swipe at her phone and ran when the husband called 911. A Fruitland Park officer responding to the call arrived about a minute later and saw Cummings jump off a bridge. Officers searched for him with the help of the sheriff's drone unit but had to call off the search due to darkness. Deputies found his body the next day.

Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a man with a knife who had cut himself inside the Ross clothing store. When the first deputy arrived and saw the man outside the store, he ordered him to drop the knife. When two officers arrived, Hughes refused to leave. As officers attempted to take Hughes into custody, a struggle ensued lasting more than 60 seconds with one of the officers. Hughes reportedly gained control of Officer J. H. Wing's Taser, stunned him once, and was then shot and killed by the officer.

Courtney Wright, 30, sped through a red light after a Lake Wales police officer clocked him going 98 mph in a 60 mph zone. The officer activated his lights and siren and attempted to pull Wright over, but he continued driving. As the vehicle approached the intersection of U.S. 27 and Chalet Suzanne Road, Wright began to change lanes, weaving through traffic at high speed. He failed to stop at a red light and crashed his 2010 gray Chevrolet Equinox into a 2003 gray Chevrolet Silverado driven by bystander Raymond Hart, 80, who was killed in the collision.

A Pasco County Sheriff's Office deputy was filling up his cruiser at the RaceTrac gas station around 6 a.m. when he encountered James Zambrotto, who was reportedly rambling about wanting to kill people. The deputy called for backup. Zambrotto later crashed his car into another vehicle and fired upon responding deputies, who shot and killed him.

Daryl Lenard Jordan attempted to steal a bicycle from a bus, leading to a confrontation with the bike owner during which Jordan pulled out a gun and fired shots. He took the bike and went to a Chevron gas station, where he began shooting after an employee refused to let him inside. At the gas station, he stole a vehicle from a patron and left the scene, eventually crashing the vehicle into a market. When officers responded, a confrontation and exchange of gunfire occurred, and police shot and killed Jordan.

A couple of hours later, Tallahassee Police Department officers attempted to stop him at his home, but he sped away in his vehicle. Patterson refused to pull over, driving at high speeds until he crashed into a utility pole. After the crash, Patterson exited the vehicle and ran north on Mission Road, pointing a handgun at his head. An LCSO deputy released a police dog on Patterson, who was later found dead with a reportedly self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officer Jesse Madsen was killed after he veered into oncoming traffic. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. and shut down I-275. Joshua Daniel Montague was traveling the wrong way on the interstate when he hit Madsen's patrol vehicle. Both Madsen and Montague died in the collision.

Upon arrival, deputies found a car had crashed into the garage of a home. The man, identified as Gregory Wayne Hopkins, barricaded himself inside the home, which he did not own. Police attempted to convince Hopkins to surrender. During the standoff, several gunshots were heard from inside the house. After losing contact, officers entered the home and found Hopkins barricaded in the bathroom, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Michael Chiswick allegedly shot and killed his mother, Joann Chiswick, 63, in the front yard of his home before barricading himself inside. During the standoff, Chiswick reportedly fired shots at a deputy and others. Around 1:30 a.m., police entered the home and found Michael Chiswick and his grandmother, Flory Chiswick, 85, dead from gunshot wounds.

Dispatchers could hear gunshots during the call and were informed that at least one person had been shot. Gregory Williams allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, who had recently given birth, and fired shots at other family members before deputies arrived. Upon arrival, Williams began shooting at deputies. Deputies Fred Thomas, Richard Howell, Andy Adams, and Alex Acosta shot and killed Williams. A person located one street over was also wounded during the incident.
