On October 28, 2024, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) officers J. Rose and J. Montgomery were investigating a carjacking on Eaverson Street in the Hogans Creek neighborhood when they encountered 54-year-old Djuan Jackson. Jackson, who had no connection to the carjacking, was near the victim’s family and was alleged to have been holding what appeared to be a knife. Officers claimed Jackson made stabbing motions toward a family member and fired multiple shots at him after commanding him to drop the object. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Elroy Clarke was engaged in a dispute with a man who had been staying at his home for three months. There have been problems and he wanted the man to leave. An altercation took place and Charlotte County deputies arrived. Elroy Clarke had allegedly had an FTA warrant for a trespassing charge and police arrived at a fight he had with an unwanted person at his home to wanting to arrest him for failure to appear in court for the trespassing charge. Police attacked him with several rounds of taser, pepper spray, baton and physical assault by three deputies. Police finally shot and killed the unarmed man in his driveway. Bodycam linked below. Clarke was a sovereign citizen which is an ideology that does not recognize authority of the state. Police commonly target sovereign citizens.

On October 16, 2024, around 9:20 p.m., the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) and SWAT team executed arrest and search warrants at a residence on Lake Charles Lane in Palm Coast, Florida. Yairton Garcia, 54, was the subject of the warrants, issued in connection with a shooting earlier that month in Flagler Beach.
