Alamance County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at 11:33 a.m. of an “unwanted guest who was in violation of a Domestic Violence Protection Order” and believed by the caller to be using drugs at the time of the call.
Deputies arrived at 11:38 a.m. and attempted to talk the man out of the residence. The man left the residence armed with a knife and lunged at a deputy. The deputy fired at the person in the left forearm, inflicting an injury. The man ran and hid behind junk vehicles. After some time, he asked for a cigarette.
