On November 19, 2022, at approximately 12:24 a.m., Portland Police Bureau officers responded to a reported armed robbery near Southeast Powell Boulevard and 50th Avenue. Officers pursued a vehicle they believed matched the description to the Reedwood Friends Church parking lot at 2901 SE Steele Street. As officers approached, Immanueal “Manny” Clark, a 30-year-old Black male, fled on foot. Officer Christopher Sathoff fired three shots, striking Clark once in the lower back. Clark was transported to a hospital, where he died two days later.

Subsequent investigations revealed that Clark was unarmed and not connected to the reported robbery. A grand jury declined to indict Officer Sathoff. However, an internal affairs investigation found the shooting violated bureau directives, though command staff later dismissed this finding. Clark's family has filed a federal lawsuit alleging excessive force and wrongful death.

At approximately 7:40 a.m. Friday, a trooper observed an eastbound Jeep Wrangler driving on the shoulder near mile marker 354 on Interstate 80. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the driver continued and the trooper escalated a chase to 100 mph. The vehicle exited and then entered a field and continued fleeing southbound. When the vehicle drove through a fence and continued into a pasture and York County and Seward County deputies then picked up the chase until the driver's vehicle hit a bridge guardrail and crashed, ejecting both occupants, killing Melissa Hernandez.

Members of the Colorado Springs Crisis Response Team were initially called on Nov. 15 when Dizmang was seen walking out into traffic. A police officer, paramedic from the city’s fire department and a mental health clinician responded to the scene, forced the unarmed man on the ground and handcuffed him. He suffered a cardiac arrest. While he had some meth in his system, the coroner ruled that the main reason he died was cardiac arrest due to being held down. His death was ruled a homicide. Indiana State Police troopers were on state road 66 when they tried to pull over a vehicle. Masterson did not stop, instead shot at troopers. Delaware State Police say a trooper observed a car driving recklessly on Vines Creek Road west of Powell Farm Road and attempted a traffic stop. Police say the trooper chased the car while it ignored emergency lights and sirens, continuing to drive recklessly at high speeds. When the car reached the intersection of Roxana Road and Pyle Center Road, he collided with a tractor trailer, who had a green light. Albuquerque PD were called because a person was trespassing with claims that he was “armed with a knife.” Officers Alex Couch and Chance Gore shot and killed him. The alleged weapon was a pair of nail clippers. He had been unarmed and guilty of at most the misdemeanor of trespassing from media reports.
