On 06/23/2022, Green River Police responded to reports of gunfire at the Embassy Tavern near 77 E Railroad Street in Green River. Officers located two deceased victims and another injured person inside the bar. Authorities identified Douglas Wolf, 51, as responsible and launched a multi-agency search involving Green River Police, Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, and Wyoming Highway Patrol. On 06/23/2022, a Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputy initiated a traffic stop at approximately 10:17 p.m. in the 2400 block of Naill Road in Fresno. During the stop, the 21-year-old Latino driver exited the vehicle and engaged physically with the deputy. The deputy fired his weapon during the struggle, striking the driver. Emergency medical personnel transported the man to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The deputy sustained injuries during the encounter and was treated and released. On 06/23/2022, the Orlando Police Department’s Fugitive Investigative Unit and U.S. Marshals Service responded to the Mosaic at Millenia apartments on Conroy Road for a felony suspect reported to be inside. Officers made contact and the subject, later identified as 36-year-old Michael Green (also known as Michael Edwards), barricaded himself inside an apartment and made suicidal threats during the encounter. SWAT and crisis negotiation teams spent more than five hours attempting to get Green to surrender. When officers entered the apartment at approximately 7:24 p.m., they found Green deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police did not fire their weapons during the incident. Green had been wanted out of Albany County, New York after fleeing before the verdict was read in his attempted murder and weapons conviction. The incident was reviewed by law enforcement and reported as a fugitive standoff with suicide.

On 06/18/2022, Houston Police Department officers responded to a report of an armed man in the 12800 block of Roydon Drive. Officers located Jamemarkus Alexander Clemons, 29. Police stated Clemons ran from officers while holding a handgun. Officers pursued him on foot. During the pursuit, officers opened fire and shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police reported a firearm was recovered nearby. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the shooting as part of standard officer-involved shooting protocol.
