On June 10, 2021, around 5 p.m., John Anthony Little locked himself inside a home after allegedly shooting someone and kidnapping a woman. He was later seen by officers on Division Street with a pistol to his head. Little proceeded to his mother's nearby house and reportedly fired at the officers. After employing various unknown tactics, police forced entry into the home through a window at approximately 3:30 p.m. and discovered Little dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of a QuikTrip at about 5:12 a.m. The man reportedly stabbed a woman, who later died, and fled to a nearby creek. Officers administered first aid to the victim, but she was pronounced dead. The officers found the man in the creek, still armed with a knife, and ordered him to drop the weapon. The suspect did not comply and attempted to harm himself with the knife. Officers used multiple bean bag rounds, and when the man turned toward the officer while holding the knife, they shot and killed him.

On 06/09/2021, at approximately 11 p.m., Officer Kevin Randolph Gilbert Jr. of the Camden County Police Department struck and killed Zandra Baez, 66, while driving a marked patrol vehicle. Baez was crossing Mt. Ephraim Avenue at Woodlyne Avenue when the collision occurred. Officer Gilbert, who was on-duty and in uniform, immediately stopped and called for assistance. He was not responding to any active call for service at the time of the incident.

On June 7, 2021, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Deputy Casey Newton of the Happy Valley Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Jeremiah Lee Wright for operating a motor vehicle without license plates. Wright did not stop. Deputy Casey Newton initiated a high-speed chase up to 100 mph that ended when Wright crashed into a fence at the intersection of SE 122nd Avenue and SE Eagle Glenn Drive.

Wright ran away, and Deputy Newton chased him on foot until Wright stopped and turned toward the deputy. He was allegedly armed, and Deputy Newton opened fire, killing him.

On June 5, 2021, Mark A. Sousa, 44, was seen speeding in Mount Vernon, Maine. Police could not catch him and targeted him again when they saw him hours later elsewhere driving a Volkswagen Jetta on Burns Road in Augusta. He did not stop for a traffic stop. Officers from the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office and the Mount Vernon PD escalated a chase at high speeds until he ran off the road and crashed in the woods near the intersection of Bartlett Road and Wings Mills Road in Mount Vernon. The vehicle was empty, and his body was located in a nearby field. Police state that he was ejected during the crash. The Maine State Police investigated and justified the fatal pursuit.

On 06/04/2021, Braintree Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment complex located at 2 McCusker Dr in Braintree. Andrew Homen fled into the adjacent woods after the call. After a 45-minute search, a police K-9 unit located Homen. On May 31, 2021, an Onalaska Police officer observed a motorcycle speeding on Highway 35. The officer attempted to stop the motorcycle at a stop sign, and although the rider initially appeared to comply, the motorcyclist sped off down Oak Avenue at an estimated speed of 100 mph. While notifying dispatch to end the pursuit, the officer witnessed the motorcycle crash into a 2018 Hyundai Tucson. The motorcyclist, identified as 33-year-old Tou Yia Lor, was thrown from the motorcycle and died from the injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Hyundai Tucson was injured.

On May 30, 2021, around 2:45 a.m., Pushmataha County Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop on 48-year-old Hank Miller near Coffee Creek Road in Antlers, Oklahoma, citing an obstructed license plate.

After initial contact, Miller drove away. Police pursued him to his home. Upon arrival, deputies attempted to remove a female passenger from the vehicle. During this interaction, Miller allegedly attempted to flee again, reportedly striking a deputy with his vehicle. In response, another deputy fired multiple shots, fatally wounding Miller.

On May 30, 2021, Ryan Bernal, a 32-year-old white male, was shot and killed by officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department during an attempted arrest. The incident occurred in the 3600 block of Georgetown Place in Louisville, Kentucky. Officers were investigating a report of a stolen vehicle when Bernal fled on foot. During the pursuit, Bernal brandished a firearm, leading officers to discharge their weapons. Bernal was transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on May 31, 2021.

On May 30, 2021, at around 10:30 p.m., officers from the Milwaukee Police Department were dispatched to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers heard gunshots and saw Roberto Zielinski armed on the front porch. Zielinski fled to the rear porch and continued to fire shots. Despite several orders from officers to drop his weapon, Zielinski reportedly refused to comply. In response to the threat, one officer shot and killed Zielinski during the confrontation.

On May 30, 2021, officers from the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Cambridge Police Department responded to a standoff at a residence on 14839 E Pike Road in Cambridge, Ohio. David O'Donnell Reagan, a 39-year-old male, was involved in the standoff.

On 05/29/2021, officers from the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and Elk River Police Department saw a vehicle thought to be connected to a shooting in Minneapolis heading east on Highway 10 in Big Lake. Deputies and troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, and Elk River police joined the pursuit. The man allegedly shot at the officers pursuing him. His vehicle crossed oncoming lanes of traffic and crashed through a barrier. The man was found dead in his car from a self-inflicted gunshot with a gun found near his body.

Doral police officers spotted an allegedly stolen white Volkswagen around 6:15 a.m. and attempted to pull over the driver. The driver continued driving, and police reportedly stopped chasing him after he left Doral city limits. The driver later crashed the car into a canal and was killed.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, along with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, went to a trailer to attempt to arrest Arnold Frazier Hager Jr. Hager was wanted for eight counts of sexual battery on a child in Maryland. When officers arrived, they used a PA system to order Hager to exit the trailer. Hager fired a gun from the trailer before coming out with a black semiautomatic handgun in his hand. Officers from FDLE and JSO shot and killed him.

On May 28, 2021, troopers from the West Virginia State Police, along with deputies, were attempting to locate a murder suspect in Martinsburg, West Virginia. While inside a home in the 100 block of Fairfax Street, a man shot and wounded a trooper who was protected by a ballistic vest. The man, identified as Herman King Myers Jr., then barricaded himself inside the home. Following an exchange of gunfire with troopers, officers entered the residence and found Myers dead. It was not immediately disclosed who fired the fatal shot.
