Other officers escalated a chase that ended at the intersection of Bessemer Road and Avenue W after Andrew Goldsmithcollided with another driver. Goldsmith then crashed into a fence in the 2200 Block of Bessemer Road. Officers saw Andrew Goldsmith to be unresponsive in the car. He had committed suicide under police duress.
