On November 13, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., a Coweta County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a Chrysler 300 for a registration violation on Highway 29 near Tommy Lee Cook Road. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Jason Andre Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia, failed to stop, initiating a high-speed pursuit reaching speeds up to 110 mph. The chase continued into Fulton County, where deputies executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver on Roosevelt Highway, disabling Wilson’s vehicle.

Following the maneuver, deputies deployed K-9 Titan to apprehend Wilson. Wilson opened fire, fatally shooting K-9 Titan and grazing a deputy. Deputies returned fire, striking and killing Wilson. The injured deputy received medical treatment and was later released from the hospital.
