On June 12, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m., an officer from the Albion Department of Public Safety observed a vehicle being driven recklessly on Superior Street near Walnut Street. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver, identified as 21-year-old Dominik Ashton Warner, accelerated and fled at a high speed. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree just south of Albion's city limits. Both Warner and his passenger, 18-year-old Ethan Newman, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

Woodbridge PD surrounded a location to try to make an arrest for a previous attempted murder when the man came out of the hotel with a gun. Police shot and killed him.

On June 12, 2024, at approximately 9:19 p.m., Minneapolis Police Department officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man seen with a handgun and allegedly threatening people near the 3400 block of Hiawatha Avenue. Officers arrived and identified the man as 39-year-old Michael Warren Ristow. He fled on foot, and police chased after him.

The pursuit ended near a fence, where Ristow allegedly turned toward the officers with a handgun. Officers Enoch Langford, Abdirizaq Mumin, and Chaz Wilson opened fire, striking him an unknown number of times. He was transported to Hennepin Healthcare and was pronounced dead at 9:52 p.m.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is handling the investigation.

Sullivan County deputies arrived for a welfare check on William Kevin Guinn, found him with a gun and shot and killed him. It is unknown whether he was an active threat to police or not.

A man believed to be intoxicated was asleep in a car. Police allege he had a sawed-off shotgun. Police awakened him and ordered him out of the car. He reportedly complied but reached for the shotgun. Police shot and killed him.

On June 11, 2024, Damion Laddal Jones, 31, of Easley, South Carolina, was killed by Opelika PD near Interstate 85 in Opelika, Alabama. Officers with the Opelika Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler and a passenger car around 2:35 PM. During their response, Jones allegedly confronted officers while armed with a knife. Police further allege that he advanced on them despite verbal commands. Police have not explained what transpired from their arrival to a crash site to cause this escalation and how they approached Jones. Police opened fire and killed Jones. His body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for postmortem examination. No autopsy report nor quotes from it have been made available.

Police in Hazard hunted a vehicle at high speed along the Kentucky/Virginia line. The chase ended up going head-on against traffic with police trying an apparent PIT maneuver, placing spike strips and chasing the car until it crashed head-on into another vehicle. One person was killed. The driver was injured as were 3 other people. It is unclear whether the deceased was a passenger or bystander but they were not the fleeing driver.

Police arrived at a domestic disturbance, encountered Ruben Chairez with a knife and opened fire with rubber shotgun bullets. He reportedly threw the knife at police. They shot and killed him. No family members had been hurt by him as police had previously suggested.

n June 11, 4:00 a.m., DEA agents and Task Force Officers executed a federal search warrant for drug offenses at a residence in the 1600 block of Bagpipe Place in Conley, Georgia. Upon entry, agents encountered 49-year-old William Lowery, who fled into a room. He reappeared armed and allegedly fired at the agents. The agents opened fire and took cover. Subsequently, agents heard additional gunfire from Lowery's location but did not engage further. A single gunshot was later heard. Agents found Lowery with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene by Clayton County Fire personnel. No agents were injured during the operation. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation into the incident. Upon completion, the findings will be submitted to the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office for review. The identities of the involved agents have not been disclosed.

Oregon State Police pulled over Timothy Edward Wells for unknown reasons. Police are reported to have attacked Wells with a taser, also for undisclosed reasons. He reportedly reached for a weapon. Police shot and killed him.
