The situation involved a woman who had been repeatedly attacked and was placed on a FaceTime call while being stabbed severely. Police engaged with the assailant, Jonathan Turner, who was shot and killed by officers during the incident.

On February 8, 2021, Jonathan O'quin entered Hillcom and fired multiple rounds, killing Kenny Hill in his apartment above the business. A deputy pursued O'quin for about three miles before O'quin turned onto Bartlick Road. O'quin stopped at Bartlick Bridge, got out of the vehicle, and fired multiple rounds at the deputy. On 02/08/2021, at approximately 1 a.m., officers from the Detroit Police Department were responding to a request for backup with their lights and sirens activated in a marked Ford Explorer traveling east on Jeffries Service Drive. The police vehicle collided with a Lexus IS 250 driven by Clifford Woodards II at the intersection of Jeffries Service Drive and W. Chicago in Detroit, killing bystander Woordards. The officer driving, TeairaFunderburg, was later charged with involuntary manslaughter and willful neglect of duty following the investigation, which revealed she was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at a red light. Woodards, a prominent defense attorney and civil rights activist, was known for his sharp wit and community involvement. His daughter, Melissa Connelly, filed a $50 million lawsuit against the city of Detroit, alleging negligence and seeking justice for her father's death. The lawsuit highlighted that Funderburg had a history of speeding and traffic violations. Woodards was driving lawfully at the time of the crash, within the speed limit and with the right of way. Phillip Francis, 43, allegedly choked a woman, set her house on fire, and later returned to the scene where he began shooting at deputies. At least one deputy from the Orange County Sheriff's Office shot Francis. He was hospitalized following the incident and died from his injuries on February 13, 2021.

On 02/06/2021, Camden County police officers Edward Melton and trainee Danielle Sigwart observed Rashad Muse speeding on Morton Street and activated emergency equipment to stop his vehicle. Muse continued driving and entered a snowy lot where officers Melton, Billy Tran, Joseph Razo, and trainees Sigwart and Eric Sweeney exited their vehicles and ordered him to get out. Muse drove forward, struck multiple vehicles including a police vehicle, and drove close to officers on foot before leaving the lot. Sgt. Brandon Galloza later observed the vehicle traveling at high speed and saw it crash into a support column under I-676 near Pine Street. Muse exited the vehicle, climbed a fence, and ran onto the interstate where civilian vehicles struck and killed him. The New Jersey Attorney General conducted the required independent investigation and released body-camera footage after meeting with family members. Public reporting does not show criminal charges, officer discipline, or civil litigation resulting from the incident.

On February 5, 2021, Muncie Police Department officers responded to a home in the 1600 block of North Riley Road in Muncie, Indiana, following reports of a domestic dispute. A woman who had left the house with a child and another family member informed officers that a man inside the home was loading a rifle and making threats to harm himself. It was also reported that a domestic battery had occurred. Officers contacted the man by phone but soon heard what they believed to be a gunshot from inside the residence. Over the next six hours, several more gunshots were heard. Eventually, police entered the home and discovered the man's body.

Hagans exited the vehicle, and police shot and killed him at the scene. The Connecticut Inspector General later ruled the shooting justified.

On February 5, 2021, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers from the High Point Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at a residence located at 2900 block West English Road. Upon arrival, officers encountered 34-year-old Josue Drumond-Cruz, who was allegedly uncooperative and retreated into the house.

Drumond-Cruz exited the house with an AR-15-style rifle and pointed it at officers before re-entering the home. Officers were aware that Blanca E. Cadavid, 35, and two children, ages 12 and 14, were inside the residence during this time. A search warrant and arrest warrants were obtained for Drumond-Cruz.

At approximately 3:40 a.m., officers attempted to breach the door, at which point Drumond-Cruz opened fire, injuring three officers. The officers were treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Drumond-Cruz continued to fire at officers throughout the morning.

At approximately 10:10 a.m., Drumond-Cruz fired at officers from the Greensboro Police Department, who returned fire, fatally wounding him. Officers entered the residence and discovered Cadavid deceased. The medical examiner determined she had been dead for approximately 8 to 10 hours. The two children were unharmed and placed into protective custody.

On February 5, 2021, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Trotwood Police officers responded to a theft report at the Speedway convenience store located at 5000 Olive Road where Andrew Hogan, 25, had allegedly stolen a 2-liter non-alcoholic beverage and was observed walking towards a nearby apartment complex.

Officers located Hogan near the Kensington apartment complex, where he reportedly refused commands. Police engaged him in an altercation, deployed a Taser, pepper spray, and a baton, but Hogan ran into an apartment in the 700 block of Kelford Place.

While officers awaited additional units, Hogan emerged from the apartment with a knife and allegedly lunged at Officer Michael Molchan Jr., who then opened fire, fatally wounding Hogan.
