Police escalated a chase that ended near NE 141st Avenue and NE Sandy Boulevard after police used spike strips to deflate the car’s tires. Story ran away while allegedly firing shots at the officers. While securing the area, officers reported hearing more gunshots going off. A multi-agency team assisted with the search and a member of the air support unit said they found a heat source in a parking lot that appeared to be a person lying down. A drone was sent and discovered Story injured on the ground. He died of suicide under police duress.
