Police began hunting a car in Wayne County, West Virginia and ended in Huntington after an intense high-speed chase by at least 2 police departments together. The chase ended when the vehicle crashed while being chased. A 68-year-old man was driving, and the passengers were identified as a 43-year-old man, a 16-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl. All four were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Officials say the 16-year-old died at the hospital as a result of his injuries. Nazi memorabilia was found in the crashed vehicle. Police explained that this chase was drug-related.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office said deputies tried to traffic-stop a vehicle heading west on I-80 at 3:11 p.m., but the driver turned around and drove the wrong way on the interstate. SCSO said the vehicle crossed over into the eastbound lanes near the Milford exit and continued on I-80. Deputies apparently followed him head-on in the wrong direction at high speeds until it came to a stop on I-80 near the Pleasant Dale exit. According to deputies, the passenger exited the vehicle but the driver reportedly refused. Deputies claim they saw an unspecified weapon in his hand and shot and killed the man. No video or eyewitnesses can be located so far.
Officer Anthony Gann was charged with manslaughter in April of 2024 and was arrested with trial pending.

Randolph County deputies received a call that a teenager had overdosed and needed medical help. Police arrived and the 19-year-old had fled. Police pursued him and saw him walking at the intersection of Main and First Streets. Police claim that he pulled out a handgun and fired a shot as they approached. They shot and killed him. So far, no evidence such as video or eyewitnesses are available to compare to the police narrative.

Kent Police Department were called when two men abandoned a vehicle in someone’s driveway and told the homeowner they were out of gas and going to walk to get some. Police arrived and discovered the abandoned vehicle had been stolen and apparently left in the driveway undamaged. Police followed the men and found them running. Kent PD shot and killed an unnamed man who was found hiding behind a house. Police claimed he had a knife on him. No word if he had tried to use it as he was reported as only running away when shot and killed. Police fired six shots into him.

John Drake Jr. had shot and injured two La Vergne, TN police officers several days prior. A massive manhunt was underway for several days, attracting additional attention due to the fact that Drake was the son of the current Nashville police chief John Drake. On 10/24/2023, after several days of a massive public manhunt after him, police received a call that he had stolen a vehicle at gunpoint and driven away in it. Police spotted the stolen vehicle on Thompson Lane and escalated a chase that ended when he crashed into a parked car. When police moved toward the vehicle, they found Drake dead, having committed suicide under police duress during the chase.

Thurston County deputies came upon a group of people doing donuts in the street. When police arrived, a car fled and police escalated a high-speed chase. Police “called off the chase” and the fleeing vehicle crashed shortly thereafter, killing the passenger, Omar D. Chavez-Leyva.

A woman called Chippewa Falls PD to report that a man whom she knew and did not want in her home was there and had made both suicidal and homicidal remarks. Chippewa Falls PD, Eau Claire Regional SWAT arrived and created a standoff, sent in a robot and saw that the unnamed man had committed suicide under police duress.

US Marshals arrived to arrest some allegedly escaped inmates and in a chaotic scene shot and killed Christian Williams, another party. The story is complex and still largely unclear and will be updated when more information becomes available. Four APD officers and 1 Texas State trooper made forcible entry in a domestic violence case and shot and killed Cristobal Ordonez Flores in Austin on 10/23/2023. Police state the man had been armed. Neighbors report that a large shootout was created between two law enforcement agencies and a man who was allegedly involved in a domestic violence incident. Homestead PD arrived at 1298 SE 11th Place in Homestead after a call they did not disclose. An unknown altercation occurred with a man and an officer fired her gun when she entered. He allegedly held a bread knife in his hand when police arrived and shot and killed him.

Correctional Officer Kelly Rolando was killed in a vehicle crash at 7:14 p.m. on the 54 Bypass in Mexico, Missouri. Officer Rolando was returning to the Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green from a temporary assignment at the University Hospital in Columbia when he collided head-on with a vehicle traveling southbound. He and Jeffrey Jappa, the driver of the other vehicle, were killed instantly.

A juvenile female went to the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office with unspecified injuries inflicted by 45-year-old Ricky Thompson. Police obtained a search warrant and went to his trailer home but he allegedly blocked the door and uttered verbal threats. The Kansas Highway Patrol arrived and both law enforcement agencies launched a lengthy standoff against the man yelling at them in the trailer. Police breached his door with an armored vehicle and officers threw in a cell phone, demanding to talk to him. A drone was sent into the home and showed he was injured. Police entered and found him with a gunshot wound to the head, allegedly having committed suicide under police duress during the lengthy police militarized standoff around his home.

Cleveland PD admitted that they escalated a car chase in Cleveland with Willowick PD at high speeds until the vehicle crashed on 92nd Street and St. Clair Avenue. Around 11:15 p.m. on October 21, 2023, Bay PD Officer Shull informed dispatch that he was “in pursuit of a side-by-side.” Several minutes into it, Shull informed dispatch that he had hit the driver. In his next radio call, Shull mused that the vehicle “may be stolen” and he justified this assumption by stating that “it is brand new.” It is not known what type of vehicle it had been. Only 26 seconds later, Officer Shull again radio’d dispatch and announced “I just hit him. Dispatch. He wrecked out.”

Less than a minute later, Officer Shull was back on the radio, requesting an ambulance and then asking for a medical helicopter because McMasters was “bleeding from the nose and mouth.” A total of 80 seconds after the crash, he announced that McMasters was “10-7”, the code for "deceased."

The family of Steven Kyle McMasters disputes the officer’s remarks that the vehicle may be stolen which was the assumption that led Officer Shull to make the fatal decision to chase the vehicle on an apparent profiling assumption. Officer Shull then announced beer “near” the side-by-side, formulating the next accusation against the deceased motorist. The family strongly denies the claims about intoxication and has hired a lawyer.

Bay Police Chief declined to release information about the incident. The City of Bay has cited an ongoing investigation into their inability to remove the incident’s body and dash camera footage. The Arkansas State Police are currently involved in the investigation.

Bay PD Police Chief Keith Milam declined giving more information about the crash. He also refused to allow the City of Bay to investigate the bodycam and dashcam footage.

Chief Milam initially stated the officer would not be placed on leave for this incident. This was changed later when the case began being dissected in the media and Shull was then placed on paid administrative leave.

Chief Milam stated he could not comment because Arkansas State Police were investigating the critical incident. Arkansas State Police were questioned about this by media and said they were not aware of any investigation. Bodycam and dashcam allegedly exist and have again been requested by media but so far were met with the unwillingness of the Police Chief to share these records. This summary will be updated when more details become available.

Renton PD and Washington State Police chased a vehicle at high speed for undisclosed reasons until the driver crashed into an SUV on the highway at 154th Pl. SE at around 10:16 p.m. The fleeing driver died and the third-party SUV driver was critically injured with current condition unknown.

A Baton Rouge officer crashed into eight vehicles while racing to Government Street where someone had allegedly fired at police. The officer involved in this wreck was traveling at unknown speed, hit a Domino’s delivery driver and 7 other cars. The impact ejected the engine of the pizza delivery vehicle and sent it airborne. Caleb James Chapetta, a third-party motorist who was on the road when the police cruiser crashed into multiple cars at once, was ejected from his vehicle from the high-speed impact and died. The exact speed of the officer is unknown. Also unknown is the necessity of the racing cruiser as multiple vehicles typically respond to a “shots fired” call and the need for numerous police cars to race through town commonly presents duplicate efforts and risks.

Police chased a man and woman for shoplifting, were chased by police. A first collision occurred and the woman’s body was seen hanging out of the drivers’ side window. Then a second collision occurred and the vehicle was hit on that side, killing her. This was done by police for the stated reason of simple shoplifting.

NYPD hunted a man described only as being in his 20s on a scooter who fit the description of someone sought in a robbery elsewhere. Police escalated a hunt against the scooter just before noon in the location depicted above, sourced from Google View. The chase ended when he collided at the above intersection with a box truck and died.

The hunt after this scooter was part of a wider NYC approach to crack down on scooters because Mayor Adams feels that too many crimes are being committed by people who escape on scooters. There have been a number of aggressive incidents including at least 2 deaths in NY with attacks by police on scooter drivers in 2023 so far due to these new policies, this being the third known to us.

Ledyard PD arrived at 70 Whalehead Road, the residence of 47-year-old Daniel DiCicco for felony warrant for Failure to Appear on weapons-related charges. The origin and immediate context of this charge, and thereby also its significance, are unknown at this time as police presented the matter as a simple FTA warrant in the news while they seemingly staged a small war against DiCicco with obviously most relevant context of the situation not relayed to the public by police.

On 10/19/2023, “authorities” reported by media which were later revealed to be local police together with the FBI, arrived at 70 Whalehead Road, a sparsely populated heavily wooded area and multi-team fed+local police allegedly evacuated the few neighbors this address shows on sat view to exist. The reasons for a preemptive evacuation are unknown and appear out of context with the official explanation that they were picking up an FTA skip on a simple warrant. Authorities in New London, CT County state that a search warrant to look for “weapons-related” charges was issued. This triggered today’s raid. The only other thing local authorities said on behalf of the PD+FBI raid was: “When agents could safely enter the property, DiCicco was unconscious and declared dead.”

Miami PD attempted a traffic stop and police from the interventional robbery unit allegedly chased the vehicle. The driver allegedly closed the door and the detective’s hand was caught in the door. The car fled and police escalated a chase until the vehicle rolled over and crashed into a house, causing significant damage to the home. Police allege that a gun flew out of the vehicle when it rolled over and was found nearby. Police state that the vehicle was a rental car and that it was not clear whether it was stolen or if the teenager had been permitted to drive it at this time. It is unclear why police created this deadly chase as no reason was given when Miami PD reported the death.

Police arrived for a report of a man with a gun on Gainesville Street. Police arrived, saw a man who fit the description and shot and killed him. On 10/18/2023, Genesee County law enforcement located Steven Higgins near Elms Rd and Wheeler Dr in Montrose following a high profile missing person investigation involving his wife, Kelly McWhirter. Deputies conducted a traffic stop that escalated into a standoff while he remained in the vehicle. During the law enforcement containment and active standoff conditions, Higgins died from a self inflicted gunshot. Investigators stated they believed he killed his wife with a blunt object prior to fleeing and later buried her, which led to the large scale search and police response that culminated in the standoff and suicide.

Daniel Brown, an unhoused 63-year-old cyclist, was riding east on State Road 200 around 3 a.m. near On Top of the World, a retirement community. East of the intersection with Southwest 80 Avenue, a sheriff’s office SUV came flying at 96 mph in a 50 mph zone without lights or sirens and with evidence that no brakes were ever used and hit and killed Brown on his bicycle. The deputy told troopers he could not see the cyclist before hitting them. Daniel Brown died at the scene.
Deputy Jaglal could have been charged with vehicular homicide but was cleared of criminal charges and was cited for failure to use due care when approaching a pedestrian or bicyclist. The ticket, the only repercussion for this deputy, requires a mandatory court appearance. Jalal's driver's license could be suspended for up to six months, and he could be fined up to $1,000. The case is pending a court appearance.

Round Lake Beach PD were called to a residence where a man who had once had a relationship with the resident had arrived and was unwanted. The resident had called police and the man left. Police allege that he had a meat cleaver at one point but there is no report of violence so far reported during the home invasion event.

Police arrived and looked for him, found him and hunted him westbound on Rollins Road. Police escalated a chase and promptly “called off the chase” before the vehicle crashed into 2 parked cars. The force of the pursuit crash was such that one of the parked vehicles spun into a 55-year-old man who was there to look at the vehicles as they were for sale. The 55-year-old was transported to the hospital in unknown condition and his survival is unknown. The man who had been hunted by police into this crash died and was identified as 38-year-old Lamar Chargois.

Lake County deputies responded to a call about a suicidal man with a meat cleaver. Police arrived and found an unconscious man who was injured and had lost a lot of blood. As police began handling him, he woke up and allegedly picked up a meat cleaver. Police shot and killed him. Since the man was seriously injured on the ground and fading in and out of consciousness, it is unclear why deputies could not step a few feet away from him if they were threatened and call for more competent medical and mental health help instead of killing him.
